I had temporary bridal insanity and made the tactical error of purchasing a dress that was essentially backless.
I figured there had to be a bra option out that that would work, I mean they've almost nailed an invisibility cloak for crying in a bucket!
I ended up with three:
#1 NuBra: Chicken cutlet looking things that stick to your boob.. not good if you have boobs already. They basically just hung there and further weighted them down. Exactly the opposite effect I was looking for.
#2 Very Bare bra: Formed foam number with under-wires with adhesive backing. This one seemed promising as it did support and offer smoothness and nipple coverage but the adhesive wasn't strong enough and it kept popping off.
#3: This Maidenform contraption.
I chose Maidenform out of sheer desperation. As long as I didn't gesticulate too wildly, it mostly stayed in place but that was ONLY because the dress was holding it down in front. I intended to use double sided tape (which disappeared along with the flower girls shoes so I just went without). In the end, it was the only bra that even remotely worked for me. I did have to go in the bathroom and regroup a couple times and I did fuss with it a lot in general but at least I had SOMETHING covering my business in that impossible wedding dress! PS. I have a large-ish bust, that may have helped anchor the thing a bit too...
PSS.. Ultimately, I didn't love my wedding dress enough to go through all that. I honestly wish I would have gotten a different dress. I hope this helps some other desperate soul..

This product doesn't stay on at all. Halfway through the party, your bra is around your neck...even using tape!!!

I purchased this bra just in case I might need it one day, plus it is on sale now, being sold for less than than the MSRP. First, I want to applaud the inventor and especially Maidenform for having the guts to try something unconventional like this. However, my number one complaint is, if you need garment tape to help it stay up, then why not market the bra with at least A FEW strips to get you started. To make you wait 6 weeks for your free roll is asking too much.
As far as the bra's construction goes, I believe the cups are structured wrong, at least in my size 34D. The wire length looks right, but the cup projection is far too shallow. Therefore, the center gore does not lay flat against my chest, nor do the cups encase each breast the way they do on a good underwire bra. My breasts fall out of the bottom. The poor fit of the cups is also what creates the movement of the bra which others talk about. If the cups and wire were meticulously fitted, this bra would hug my front and would put less demand on the straps.
The last thing I will mention is the tops of the cups. Maybe because my breasts fall under the wire, there is gaping at the top. Or maybe, again, these cups just have a strange fit. They are wide, shallow and full at the top, almost as if they were fitted on someone with implants. The best thing about this bra is the feeling of having nothing on your back.

The idea is really great! I don't know what took so long...but because it did take so long it will be a while until it is perfected. Just like the Victoria Secret 100 way bra and I think the other one I have is a very sexy that is supposed to allow you to wear low back clothing. They all still need to be perfected. With this maidenform one it is extremely tight as it has to work double time to give the same support as a regular bra. If it is not going to be a long night then i guess it is alright.

The idea of this bra was really interesting, and (had it worked) could have been best thing since dark roast coffee. Unfortunately, it took nearly 30 minutes to position properly, and then, after all of the adjusting, twisting, lifting, etc, POP! The contents of the bra came spilling out. I tried repositioning it several times, but it never stayed in place for more than 5 minutes. (Maybe it would work for a smaller busted woman, but my bust (36D) was not made for such acrobatics.)
Back to the drawing board I suppose...
